DAY 1 - Sunday, August 17 | D

SKIDEGATE

Afternoon check in at Vancouver Airport for your flight to Sandspit. Upon arrival your private shuttle will be waiting to transport you to the beautiful Jags Hotel located on Graham Island. After check in depart for a welcoming traditional Haida meal with storytelling, orientation and information. Return to your hotel for overnight.

SKIDEGATE

DAY 2 - Monday, August 18 | B/L/D

GRAHAM ISLAND – QUEEN CHARLOTTE

After breakfast start your day at one of the most mysterious and photographed sights on Graham Island: Balanced Rock, followed by a totem pole tour at the Haida Heritage Center, then a fascinating look into Haida Gwaii culture at the Saahlinda Naay Haida Gwaii Museum.

This original Queen Charlotte Island museum was opened in 1976 by then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and was re-opened in 2008 after 7 years of restorations and renovations. The museum tells the story of the Haida Nation and features a large collection of Haida culture materials and native art.After lunch visit one of the most mysterious and photographed sights on Graham Island; Balance Rock followed by a visit of Longhouse Gift Shop. Dinner included and overnight at Jags Hotel.

DAY 3 - Tuesday, August 19 | B/L/D

CENTRAL GRAHAM ISLAND

After breakfast travel north of Port Clements to visit the Port Clements Museum and then views the site of the famous Golden Spruce and an ancient, abandoned Haida Canoe. The Golden Spruce is located on the Golden Spruce trail with paths that wind through the rain forest. Before the actual tree was vandalized in 1977, it was famous for its unique colour. The tree was 164 feet high and had needles of gold.

Visit the Anglican Church to view the grafted Golden Spruce. After lunch travel to Port Clements to visit the Port Clement Museum followed by a visit of Tlell. Return to hotel to refresh before departing for dinner. Overnight at Jags Hotel.

CENTRAL GRAHAM ISLAND

DAY 4 - Wednesday, August 20 | B/L/D

K’UUNA LUNAGAAY / SKEDANS HAIDA VILLAGE

Breakfast in room. Early departure to sail from Skidegate Landing to Alliford Bay to meet the Morsley Express crew to begin travel to K’uuna Lunagaay. Along the secluded shore of Skedans Bay lies the historic village site of K’uuna Linagaay. Briefly known by its English name ”Skedans”, a community of over 700 Xaayda Haida lived on this remote peninsula until the 1880’s. Long succumbed to natural decay caused by the lush rainforest climate, the depressions of several longhouses gives a sense of their impressive former scale. Remarkably, several carved memorial and mortuary poles remain standing. Late afternoon sail from Alliford Bay to Skidegate landing. Return to hotel before departing for dinner. Overnight at Jags Hotel

DAY 5 - Wednesday, August 21 | B/L/D

NORTHERN GRAHAM ISLAND — NORTH BEACH

Travel to Northern Graham Island to meet Haida artists in their personal carving shed to learn about the process involved to carve a totem pole from first selecting tree and all that is involved until it is raised. Visit Haida art galleries and Dixon Entrance Maritime Museum. Travel to North Beach to view the totem pole located in the Hiellen Longhouse Village with the option to participate in an easy hike to the blowholes and/or a moderate hike up Tow Hill.North Beach is situated in Naikoon Provincial Park which became a Class A park in 1973 and boastes a mixture of temperate rain forrest ecosystems, wetlands, bogs, sand dunes, and approximately 100 km of beaches. Dinner in Tlell. Overnight at Jags Hotel.

DAY 6 - Thursday, August 15 | B/L

SANDSPIT

After breakfast at Jags Cafe checkout and depart for Sandspit for a short walk on the Dover Trail.

After lunch continue on to Sandspit Airport for your flight back to Vancouver.

By the acceptance of such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets, the tour member agrees that the Company shall not become liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage to the person, firm or corporation. Further, the Company shall not become liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage due to an Act of God or Act of War. The tour operator reserves the right to withdraw a tour, to refuse to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour at any time or to make changes in the itinerary whenever in their sole judgment conditions warrant or if such changes result from circumstances beyond the control of the tour operator. Executive Cultural Tours and/or their agents shall not be responsible for the injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or other, or through the acts or default of any company or person engaged in conveying or providing transportation to the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour or otherwise in connection therewith, or of any other hotel proprietor or employee. The aforesaid and their agents can accept no responsibility for losses or accidental expenses due to delay or changes in schedules or hotel overbookings or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger.

BOOKING

A CA$1,200 deposit plus single supplement, if applicable, as well as the optional package tour insurance cost, are required upon reservation. A post-dated cheque for the balance dated May10, 2025, is also required at the time of reservation.

CANCELLATION

Full refund up to 120 days prior to departure less $500 per person. Between 120 days prior to departure and May 09, 2025, full refund less $1500 per person. Between May 10 and June 05, 2025 full refund less $3000. Subsequent to June 05, 2025, no refund will be made for any unused hotel accommodation, meals, transfers, sightseeing, etc. Notice of cancellation must be made in writing.
