This morning, you will leave for your incredible journey of Newfoundland! First, you will take a flight to Deer Lake. Upon arrival, you will meet your tour guide, Ed Humber, who will be with you until departure. We will then escort you up the Northern Peninsula to Hawke’s Bay. Check into Maynard’s Torrent River Inn and join your fellow participants in a “Welcome to Newfoundland” dinner to get a taste of Canada’s highest quality lobster!

Friday, July 5 | B/L
After a full breakfast this morning, venture to the town of St. Anthony situated on the Northern tip of Newfoundland. It was originally a fishing station in the early 16th century, but is now known as the iceberg capital of the world; visit Grenfell Mission House, as well as Grenfell Handicrafts store; two buildings commemorating Wilfred Grenfell who established the coast’s first hospital in 1893, and helped industrialize this beautiful area.
Lunch today will be at The Lightkeepers Café where it is possible to view marine life from the front steps! Then, journey to The L’Anse Aux Meadows National Historic Site where you will get a first-hand account of the area’s first Viking settlement. View original artifacts, full-scale replicas, and learn about the way of life from over 1000 years ago.
Later this afternoon, return to your hotel for dinner and evening on your own. Overnight at Maynard’s Torrent River Inn.

Saturday, July 6th | B/L
Following breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and leave for the Port Aux Choix National Historic Site. This historic site offers over 6000 years of human history with a beautiful coastline of unique limestone barrens. Then, travel to Gros Morne National Park, a place of beauty like no other. Parks Canada says: “Soaring fjords and moody mountains tower above a diverse panorama of beaches and bogs, forests and barren cliffs. Shaped by colliding continents and grinding glaciers…” With a description like this, you’re sure to experience immense beauty.
Enjoy lunch at the Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour, after which you will make your way to Shallow Bay Motel in Cow Head where you will check in for the night.

Sunday, June 7th | B/L
This morning, enjoy an amazing boat tour of the National Park followed by a delicious lunch in Cow Head. Following lunch there will be an optional boat tour of the landlocked fjord of Western Brook Pond. Carved by glaciers and home to plenty of waterfalls and wildlife. This tour involves a one hour walk to the boat and a one hour walk back to the parking lot after the boat tour. Cost is approximately $80.00 including taxes. Spend some free time in Cow Head before attending an evening production at the Gros Morne Theatre located accross from the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at Shallow Bay Motel.
Monday, July 8th | B/L
Check out and depart for The Discovery Center located in Woody Point. Here you will find out what makes Gros Morne National Park a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will spend a little time walking the base and viewing the incredible natural wonder called The Tablelands. Afterwards, we will leave Gros Morne and travel to Corner Brook with a stop enroute at the Newfoundland Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion featuring up to 1000 live tyropical butterflies.
Late afternoon, check into your hotel, Corner Brook’s Glynmill Inn, a 1920’s Tudor-style picture of beauty. Dinner tonight will be on your own followed by an evening at leisure. Overnight at the Glynmill Inn.

Tuesday, July 9th | B/D
Following breakfast this morning, take a more in-depth look into Corner Brook’s beauty and culture before travelling to
Lark Harbour. View breath-taking scenery, including the Blow-Me-Down mountains. Take a stroll on Bottle Cove Beach and discover the “sea cave” on the south side of the cove. Return to Corner Brook and enjoy some free time for the remainder of the afternoon.
This evening, attend an unforgettable festivity! Together, Jean Sheikh, a native Newfoundlander and your fabulous escort, as well as your amazing tour guide, Ed Humber, will host
“A Newfoundland Thyme” at the Humber Valley Resort. Ed Humber is also a member of the Share-croppers Trio and you will have the opportunity to watch them live during this marvelous evening! Enjoy the food and the music and get to know your fellow attendees. Overnight at The Greenwood Inn & Suites.

Wednesday, July 10th | B/L
Following a full breakfast at your hotel, you will travel to Central Newfoundland, also called “The Land Of Trees.” You will first visit King’s Point Pottery, an award-winning craft shop that is a haven for any art lover, and then off to lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterwards, you will begin your excursion to Twillingate stopping in Grand Falls to visit the Salmonid Interpretation Center and learn about the history, biology, and ecology of the Atlantic Salmon. Continue to Twillingate, one of the stops along Iceberg Alley and a scenic.treasure.
Dinner and evening will be on your own tonight. Overnight at a cluster of B & B’s including Echoes of the Ocean & Admiral’s Inn.

Thursday, July 11th | B/L/D
Following your delicious breakfast, visit Beothuk Interpretation Center in Boyd’s Cove where you can view multiple exhibits and artefacts of the Beothuk people, a now extinct culture with their own unique language and way of life.
Afterwards, travel back over the “The Road to the Isles” for a unique stop called The Prime Berth to meet a local fisherman and get up close and personal with the Newfoundland fishing heritage. And you may even have the opportunity to see the stories’ high icebergs which travel through here between May and July from the coast of Greenland!
Following lunch and some additional sightseeing, we will return to our accommodations. Enjoy dinner & entertainment tonight at Pier39 Restaurant.

Friday, July 12th | B/L
9.00 am: Following breakfast, check out and depart for the Bonavista Peninsula towards one of the prettiest towns in the world: Trinity.
Enroute, we will have a stop in Gander. We will drive through the community that was the heart of 9/11 emergency and musical hit Come From Away. Continue to Trinity where your first stop will be lunch at The Erikson Premises
After some leisurely sightseeing, you will depart Trinity and travel to Port Blantford where you will be staying at the Terra Nova Golf Resort.
Dinner and the remainder of the evening are free to enjoy.
Overnight at the Terra Nova Golf Resort.

Saturday, July 13th | B/L
This morning, travel to Cape Bonavista where you will have the opportunity to tour the Bonavista Lighthouse, among other sight-seeing possibilities; including The Dungeon and Elliston—the root cellar capital of the world and home to the Sealer’s Memorial.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a quaint café on the water before exploring the town of Bonavista itself.
After lunch, you will have some independent exploration time before going back to Port Blantford.
Dinner on your own. Overnight at Terra Nova Golf Resort.

Sunday, July 14th | B/L
Begin your last leg of this amazing tour this morning by driving to the city of St. John’s; The City Of Legends!
Enroute, you will stop at a number of notable areas including: Heart’s Content Cable Station—a historical building which received the first transatlantic cable in 1885!
Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant in Heart’s Content before continuing to St. John’s. St. John’s, the capital of Newfoundland, is its largest city as well as the oldest city in North America and sits on the most eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula.
Upon arrival, you will be guided to Signal Hill, a notable landmark that took part in many wars throughout history, as well as being the first place to be used for transatlantic communication.
Then, check into your hotel at the best accommodations Newfoundland has to offer:
The Sheraton Hotel. Dinner will be on your own this evening.

Monday, July 15th | B/L
Following a scrumptious buffet breakfast at the Sheraton, you will begin exploring St. John’s and the surrounding area. First, you will head to Cape Spear—the most eastern point in North America!
Afterwards, you will make your way to Bay Bulls for the Gatherall’s Boat Tour which will take you on a tour of the Ecological Reserve.
Following lunch at the Captain’s Table in Mobile, you will be guided on a tour of the beautiful community of Petty Harbour as you make your way back to St. John’s where you will visit the Johnson GEO Center; a multimillion dollar project which takes you deep into Newfoundland history.

Tuesday, July 16th | B/D
Following breakfast, you will once again venture out into St. John’s where you will travel along Marine Drive just outside the city. You will also visit the unique tiny village of Quidi Vidi, a historic town that lies in the heart of St. John’s.
Afterwards, you will visit The Rooms, one of St. John’s newest attractions and where you will find Newfoundland’s art gallery as well as the provincial museum—among other things.
Lunch and the remainder of your afternoon will be on your own.
Later, you will return to the bus and be whisked away for a delightful dinner at The Gypsy Tea Room. This will be the perfect setting to say farewell and reflect on the memories of your time in Newfoundland.

BOOKING CONDITIONS
A deposit of CAD $1,000 per person is required at time of reservation, together with single supplement, if applicable, as well as package tour insurance costs (optional). Post-dated cheques must also be supplied at time of booking, one for $1,000 dated January 10, 2024, and the second for the remaining balance dated April 11, 2024. CANCELLATION
Full refund up to 180 days prior to departure less $500 per person. Between 180 and 90 days prior, full refund less $1,000 per person. Between 90 and 60 days prior, full refund less $2,000 per person. Less than 60 days prior, total cost of tour is non-refundable. After departure, no refund will be made for any unused hotel accommodation, meals, transfers, sightseeing, etc. Notice of cancellation must be made in writing.
