I, too, echo all the beautiful and very meaningful comments already made. Touring the coast of Newfoundland was my first time going anywhere in Canada and I could not have been more fortunate. From our tour guides extraordinaire, Jean and Ed, our driver, Chris, and to all of you on this tour, I could not have asked for a better experience. Newfoundland, its people and culture, the magnificent coastal views, and all the interesting and educational stops we made – I learned so much. I appreciated meeting every one of you and hope we will cross paths, again. Jean, I finally committed and I could not be happier! Thank you, everyone, for being part of what made this trip so special.

To all our new found friends, The comments from all you fellow travellers are perfectly stated. The tour felt like we were invited by our best friends to come stay for awhile and they showed us all the great things that make up the friendliest province in Canada. Anne’s comments about the struggles of the Newfoundland people were a revelation that also surprised us. No wonder the people are so closely knitted together as they needed to be for survival. Their love of their fellow man and welcoming of us visitors was refreshing and we will always remember their hospitality. We had lots of fun with you all on the tour. Perhaps our paths will cross again. Jean, Ed and Chris, we cannot thank you enough for all the warm attention you gave to us all. The tour was far and beyond our expectation. We hope to be able to join you on a future tour. Best wishes to all, Jim and Linda

Wasn’t that a party! When we first viewed the itinerary for this trip, we knew it would be amazing. However, what we experienced was above and beyond anything we imagined. Every day was full of history, culture, scenic vistas, great local food, and lots of laughs. At every turn, Ed and Jean shared their knowledge and apparent love of their province. What was especially appreciated was the little additional things they did, such as the surprise visit to Newfoundland Builds of the TV show Rock Solid Builds and the evening visit to Signal Hill, beer included. We also enjoyed meeting all of our friendly fellow travellers. We couldn’t have asked for a better group to share this journey with. Chris did a wonderful job, professionally and safely maneuvering his bus around the province. Oh, and we can’t forget the buns and cookies Debbie provided. Needless to say, Mark appreciated the mid morning snack. So thank you Ed, Jean, and Chris for making this such a wonderful tour. You’ve set the bar extremely high for future tours we might take. Cheers, Mark & Marlene Anderson

Greetings from Ottawa, It is so great to hear all your positive comments on our recent tour of Newfoundland. Like everyone else, we were so impressed with the skill with which Jean and Ed lead us around The Rock. We saw so many beautiful sites, dined on fantastic meals (I am currently noshing on a PB sandwich in order to recover from all those culinary delights), and learned of the diverse history of Newfoundland and its ancestors. Much of this history was unknown to us prior to our trip. We are now enlightened, having received so many bits of information of Newfoundland’s past that included its Indigenous people as well as its conquering and exploring people. Being enlightened on the cod and sealing fisheries was particularly interesting. We would be remiss if we did not recognize Chris, our driver. As a former Air Force Transportation Officer, I am well aware that Chris is not just a great driver. There are many tasks he performed on a daily basis in order that we would enjoy our ride, many that we did not witness. He is to be congratulated for his sterling efforts. Well done Chris! Aside from the fantastic scenery, tasty (and plentiful) meals and great accommodations, we would like to say that our travel mates made our trip a most enjoyable experience. Thanks for being you. You are a great bunch! We shall cherish our time together. Finally, we were truly blessed to have Jean and Ed as our tour director and tour guide. This trip, with your very own Newfoundland flavour, could not have been better. Thanks to Jean, Ed and all our tour mates for a most enjoyable experience. All the best to y’all. Cheers, Gary and Chris McD

This trip was a first coach tour for us!

It was evident the trial and error, repeated updating, and the constant concern to give your travellers the best you could, certainly was well executed.  We remembered so little from school about the life and times of Newfoundlanders and their rich history and over the week Ed was able to bring it back to us with such energy, videos, and stories that it tweeted our brains!   Ed instilled in us a love of his province, that we could only come away (get it!) with an overwhelming sense of pride that you both shared.

The tours started at very reasonable times, with more than sufficient breaks, side trips, snacks, and photo opportunities, that we never felt rushed, exhausted, or disappointed.  Each day many of us remarked on an amazing day, one that you won’t be able to top!  Well you did, day after day until we all thought we would return home feeling that we came, we saw, and we will never forget our experience in Newfoundland!

We invested our time and money in an unknown, and judging from friends on other tours to other places, we were more than satisfied – no!  Extremely pleased with the end results!

We ate, boy did we eat; we drank – yikes; and we met an amazing group of new friends.  I have been In touch with a few and their response has all been so exciting and positive.

Danny!  He kept that bus and windows clean and with his expertise we felt safe and relaxed as he journeyed through his beloved home land.  From being there each morning with a smile and greetings, to checking on our days adventures , to wishing us well at the end of the day! Very much appreciated!

I don’t know how you could change any part of that trip or would want to.  From the beginning to the last, incredibly memorable evening, Gary and I thank you both.

It is important that you both know that what you do for others for 12 days each July is so appreciated and absolutely incredible, you give so many so much happiness!

She’s a rocky isle in the ocean,

And she’s pounded by wind from the sea;

You might think that she’s rugged and cold

But she’s home sweet home to me!

Coming to you from the Niagara Peninsula,

Cheers!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for all your efforts in making this trip the very best we have ever had. We not only got to see so much of Newfoundland, but because of your well-organized, enthusiastic, humorous and personal approach, we feel that we have really gotten to experience the people, places and history of this province in a unique way. You have given us an exceptional, one-of-a-kind experience that we will never forget! We can’t thank you enough.

Well it’s almost a week since we’ve been home and I still have a grin on my face. It was an amazing trip and I enjoyed every minute. Every day on the trip when going to bed I thought it couldn’t get better but yet the next day was even more spectacular! I realize you don’t have any control over Mother Nature but seeing icebergs and whales was a dream of mine and what initiated my trip to Newfoundland in the first place . Now I’d love to live there. I met so many wonderful people and saw so many beautiful places. People have been asking me what my favourite part /place was and I can’t answer the question because I loved everything!

Please extend my thanks to Ed, you make an awesome team!
Thank you so much for a trip my Mom and I will always treasure!
